Beavis from this board had his 10th with him when he bought my GH Head. He let me play it and i was very impressed with the Sound

I thought I read on this board somewhere that the tone was thinner than some of the other PGMs?

I think you are thinking of the 90th. The 10ths sound fantastic, at least mine does. :)

I have a 90th and hardly ever play it. It just doesn't feel as good as the 10th.

The tone of the PGM800 is not in ANY way thin.. It's brighter with a "snappy" attack but not thin..

Oh, did I mention that the tone of the PGM800 is not thin?

I don't have an 800, but i have been looking for one.

Since everyone is listing their PGM collections

30wh
200
500

I find the 200 to sound thin compared to the others.

The 800 can go from twang to full on rage. It is incredible.

The 10th sounds great...can get very beefy.

The 90HAM is too thin (ebony board with a basswood/maple body), but is stunningly beautiful.

There seems to be confusion! IMO -

The tone on the 800 is great
The tone on the 500 is slightly thinner
The 900 is really beefy but the definition suffers slightly
The 100 tone is pure metal
The 301 has great tone and definition
My Squire telecaster is crap!

I still keep getting messages from the guy trying to sell his 800 to me. I already have one but if someone wants to buy it I can try to help. I was very weary of this guy, but I have since found someone in Taiwan that I trust (cousin of a close freind lives there) that might be willing to be the go between for a transaction with him. I got the guy to agree to having my friends cousin go to his house and do the exchange (money for the guitar). The guy is asking 1300 for it with case. It is all very complicated I know but for those that just have to get an 800 (who would not want one) this is the only one I have found up for sale.

Love the Squire definition.

I refer to Fender as " Fender Firewood".
I'm sure they would burn up nicely under some marshmellows
