Lately I have probably seen at least one 100 go up on ebay every month or 2.

I haven't seen an 800 for sale for a while.

You could try looking at the ishibashi u-box. You never know what is going to turn up there. I've seen a few good deals on 300's in there and saw a 600 one time. http://www.ishibashi-music.com/.

I've seen about 4 800's in the last month. They always come in waves.

I just picked up an 800 from Taiwan but I was talking to a guy before I finalized the deal on mine that was going to sell me his for 1300. I was a bit hesitant with him since he has bad english and was having problems finding a way to recieve payments. He does have the guitar though since he took a picture of it the other day with my name on a piece of paper. I think he is legit but you would need to find a way to work out payment with him.

His e-mail address is [email protected]

I can send you some pictures of it if you give me your email address.

I would be very very careful.
Have him get paypal if possible or something like that and do an escrow.
Then he can't get the money until you get the guitar and are happy with it.

I did not choose to go forward with that transaction. The guy I got my 800 from was a reputable source and I took precaution with that one. I just thought I would let everyone know that there was a possible one available through the guy I mentioned. If someone wants to move forward and trust the guy they might score an 800. You are correct that it is risky but I don't know of many other ways to get one of these rare PGMs.

yeah its so risky these days
unless you have a friend that lives in that country that can actually check the stock
or something like telephone convos
but usually the seller is reluctant to do that :(
and btw ivygilbert hehe how did you get all your other PGM's?
did you get them off ebay?
if you have a 10th
surely a 800 or a 100 cant trouble you much

The PGM 500 has a basswood body and a Humbucker from Hell in the neck position.
The PGM 800 has a Swamp Ash body with a Tone Zone in the neck position.

I paid $1400 for the 800 about 3 years ago. It was in brand new condition. In fact, I couldn't tell if it had actually been played it was so pristine. No fretwear and no pick scratches.

Unless something catastrophic happens, I will not be selling it.. I may even be cremated with my guitars when I die.. ;)

But if I change my mind, I'll let you know.. :D
