Man, I'd love to make you an offer on that PGM301 but I just don't have the money right now. You couldn't have waited another month could you? --Jason

Are the 2005 Ibanez PGMs made in Japan or Korea? And yes, I really do care where it's made. I'm interested in a new guitar and the PGM looks really nice. It's exactly the kind of guitar I'm looking for. Straight forward player's guitar. Strictly business. Another thing... Can I still get a new, made in Japan PGM with an Edge tremolo.

All PGMs except the PGM3 are currently MIJ. I think last year was the last year for the PGM300 (trem), but I am sure there are still overstock.

If I didn't snag that PGA, I'd be all over it.....

If you're wanting a Edge equiped PGM, you want the PGM300. I would definitely go for a used, pre 03 model. Ibanez switched to the edge pro (or edge poor as I'm calling it now) tremolo in 03. Ishibashi Music has a couple used 300's right now that are priced decent. --Jason

About a month ago ishibashi had a used 300 in stock that was in really good condition for around $900 with hard case.

They also had two with some scratches for under $600 with a gig bag.

I would have bought one, but I got my PGM 500 instead.

Also the PGM 30 had the edge trem in 2003 and/or 2004 I don't remember the year they switched to the edge. It is like a 300 but it doesn't have the maple fretboard or Dimarzio pickups.

The PGM30's got the edge poor in 2003. Better than the old TRS tremolos? Yes. As good as the Edge or Lo-Pro Edge? Not in my eyes.

What's funny is for the cost of what some used PGM30's are bringing on ebay, a person could get a used PGM300 from Japan. Better pickups, better tremolo, maple fingerboard. Seems like a no brainer to me. --Jason

The PGM301WH is sold!

I'll give the RG-421 some more time before I turn it into a project guitar.

I'm thinking about routing for a double battery box, dropping in some EMG pickups in some chrome rings I saw, and maybe locking tuners.
