Post PGM String saddles
Hi all. My PGM is eating D strings like crazy. Does anyone know where I can buy new ones? Mine are gold by the way.

What's up with PGMSite?

Thanks
Mike

hey dude
what kind of strings were they?
they are eating your d strings as in they get rusted easily or you bend them and they snap?

but strings should be availiable at most music stores
just buy something like D'Addario, Dean Markley, Black Dimond or Ernie ball
you can buy them in packs of just by itself
make sure they have the right gauges
i think most pgms are 0.09 to 0.42??
haha not totally sure all depends on how much bend you want i think
hope this helps a bit

also i think the PGMsite is down and the forum is moved here
i think eddie is trying to get it back up later again

Here a couple place you might try. It'll probably be cheaper to buy a whole new bridge assembly rather than individual saddles.

If it's only the D string saddle that giving you problems, you could try switching it to another position on your bridge. --Jason

I'd recommend just replacing the entire bridge.

We'll get the PGMsite up soon enough ;-)

Post String Saddles
I've filed the problem saddle trying to remove and burrs and it keeps it going for a while but sooner or later it just bungs up again and snaps the string.

My bridge is gold and Stew-Mac only sells chrome.

I'll try the other link.

Thanks
Mike

p.s. Bring back PGMSite. I loved that site.

I only see chrome! I've got Scott at Vwall guitars looking into Ibeanez ones for me and I've picked up a knock off bridge off Evilbay until I can get the standard replacements.

This is for a PGM500.

Ah!

I see....only chrome SADDLES.....ok.

But each flavor of a complete bridge.

The PGM500 uses a standard gold Gotoh bridge. Vwall should find it no problem ;-)
