Post NGD: FRM-100TR
Sorry for the crappy phone camera..... guys I present my FRM-100TR and some review

Image

Image

Lower Horn - deep enough to access higher frets
Image

Paul is right, this upper horn stabs right to the heart, make the guitar is an extension of you
Image

Paul's favourite control layout, volume knob on the further position, added tone control
Image

The original korina I believe have a square jack plate, FRM has an oval shape
Image

Tight tune bridge and tailpiece, very2 sturdy & tight, good and comfortable feel to the resting palm
Image

Image

DiMarzio pickups, as you all know, Injectors on bridge and neck, while Area 67 in middle, sound wise... its a total new sonic for me, the is my first experience with single coils, pretty happy with the clean channel sound, very acoustically pronounced, very clear yet quite trebally, it handles dirty channel quite impressively, depending on your amp & pedals of course....
Image

You might wonder what the hell is that round sticker on the pickguard...
Image

Image

Image

I thought it was only white, but is actually pearl/abalone... don't know which one or might be other things
Image

The pickup switch selector reminded me that this is a chinese made despite of it sweet sound & playability..... it pops out too much, feels & looks cheapo, gonna switch to dimarzio's ASAP
Image

Image

Look at my two other guitar, a PGM301WH and an old cheap Korean CT Ibanez Super Strat (nothing super actually but I've pimped it to the max, new self custom paint job, dimarzio pickups & hardware), the pickup selector looks and make sense, I might be too fussy :?
Image

Image

The back...
Image

Image

This unique ugly neck joint is surprisingly comfortable & made it easy to play higher frets on lower string, kinda hard for me to do that on my square heel guitar and even on my PGM since i have fat fingers
Image

Image

Shoot! the Chinese factory can't even align the serial number correctly, only cosmetic issue, no problem
Image

Might probably standard ibanez tuner, does the job well, I heard that someone will change it to Gotohs when he received his fireman due to concern on tuning, I might do that as well, but so far, the tuner stays coz the strings stay in tune
Image

Gigbag included.. looks like normal gigbag but its design to fit the longer upper horn of the Fireman
Image

Conclusion - Great playability & great sounding guitar, I am happy

Words cannot explain how jealous I am right now.

Only lots of pictures, clips and videos will stop me from travelling to where you are and stealing it from you. :D

Siggelump: ATM i'm too happy with the guitar, can't put it down most of the time, definitely my favorite guitar ATM

meticadpa: don't be jealous man.... i hope you'll get your fireman as well, don't rob me please :(

craigny: hopefully you'll get yours sooner, nice custom fireman bro

*BTW I'll take more photos and try to do some clips, but overall, it sounds & play like heaven (although i'd never been to one), China made a good job on building firemans but still dont match japanaese prestige, totally a different beast from PGM, with its thick neck (still shred-able) & single coil, definitely a new sonic dimension for me :D Conclusion, Happy & Inspired

Musicstore.de says 758 €. But that's impossible... According to the German Distributor, Musicstore
didn't even order FRMs and they can't sell it for less than 820 €... What a lie.

I got my Fireman Friday for 825 € including Gigbag, Cable, Nylon-Strap, Manual and allen-Wrenches.

Did you have to pay extra for the gigbag? My vendor said that as far as he knows, they aren't included. I ordered the hard case anyways, but if I'm supposed to get a gigbag I'll mention it to him.
