Post PGM 100: Vintage vs. Reissue
Hey guys,

I haven't been here in a while but it sure is good to be back. I have a vintage PGM100 for sale and I'm wondering if it would be worth more or less than the cost of a brand new PMG100 Reissue. My vintage PGM100 is in excellent to near mint condition.

Also, I'm not sure of the date of when it was produced. Is there any way for me to find out? Thanks for your advice.

I live in Vancouver B.C., Canada and let me know if you're interested in purchasing a vintage PGM100 in excellent to near mint condition.

A guitar is worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it. Unless it totally mint with unfaded plastic its probably worth less than a brand new reissue. Personally I think the reissues are overpriced, and would rather have an original.

You can figure out what date is was produced from the serial number. Check out this page for info http://www.ibanezrules.com/catalogs/reference/dating.htm

I went the original route since, indeed, the original was cheaper than the reissue. Plus, Ibanez guitars were better made 20 years ago.

Thanks for the advice, guys. I've discovered that my PGM100 was made in 1991. Contact me at [email protected] if you're interested.
