No offense to the OP but considering they have (2) posts to their name, I strongly suggest that anyone considering the purchase of this guitar use some type of on-line escrow service. This is in reference to the board member that was recently burnt for $1K on a PMG500.

If postcount is an indicator of honesty then we should all trust Skippy....

The fact is people that are less well known on a board are more likely to rip someone off, especially if they live on another continent.

There is no way in heck I would send some forum member that I barely know a $1000 for a guitar without some kind of protection. I for one don't have money like that to waste.

There is always a risk associated with any online person-to-person transaction but as history has shown us, the fewer posts you have the greater the chance that you might be scammer.

Besides, this isn't a matter of logic, it's matter of opinion based upon the experiences of others. Let the buyer beware. ;)

I highly recommend you guys ask a ton of questions before you pony up any sort of money for this.

No offense to the OP because I just saw this (and was going to recommend it go in another thread) :

-------------

Regardless of the seller's language, location, or post count --

For one, this person has not told you the condition of the wiring, the pickups, or the switches. It could have been in a flood or a typhoon and could look great but be completely unplayable.
For two, even when asked about the neck profile or other things - the seller has not replied except with more details about price and shipping, and putting up more pictures, but no sound demos...
Third, why isn't this on eBay, Bluejay, Overstock, Yahoo Japan, etc? Post a link to an auction site where your identity is verified, so we can check it out.
Fourth, the neck *looks* straight in the pictures, but have you been told about the truss rod, have you checked the neck for any sort of warp or relief?
It seems that buying these things is a lot like buying used cars.
Two weeks of overtime at the OP's job (or less!) could pay that credit card off without any sort of ethics question and might be a more viable option.
I would question if this is truly in the poster's possession. It could be being sold for a friend or it could be a team effort... I don't really mean in the Nigerian sense.

-------------

... Postcount means nothing ... I mean, guys like Volkan and Zesty with 1000+ one-liners and +1's? That doesn't make them trustworthy, LOL. (they probably ARE - I'm just singling them out because in the past, others have singled them out - no offense meant/no hard feelings guys!!) True, someone with 3 posts all detailing price and shipping isn't the best way to come along, but we all have to start somewhere ...

If the seller had some concrete information / any sort of description other then photos... it would make things seem a lot more legit.
