SO I have 2 301s, one stock and one with a tone zone in the bridge. What do you guys think is the better pick-up configuration, stock or paf/jem/tonezone? What do you guys think of these guitars in general?

Not being disrespectful at all mate, but you own these guitars and can hear how they both sound compared to each other. Why are you asking us?? :)

That being said, a few people on this forum with 301's have Tonezones in, and really dig them. Its all down to what sound youre looking for though really. I find my stock PAFs really nice, until the strings are a day or two old or theres a little too much bass on the amp and they can get a bit muddy. Still awesome pups though.

I was asking because this is a forum. It is where you 'chat' with people. I just wanted to discuss these guitars with other people who had them. I thought that was the goal of this portion of the forum......

I have a few PGM's with PAF pro's and a 500 with the tonezone.

Both are good pickup combos. It comes down to personal preference. It also might depends on what amp you are playing them through.

I wish you'd get rid of the guy playing a guitar in your signature. It's extremely distracting....LOL
