I don't think gibson humbuckers are f-spaced. If your humbucker is f-spaced I would get f-spaced dimarzio covers.

The dimarzio covers are only for pickups that do not have allen head poles. That means it will not fit on pickups like PAF pros and super distortions. It should work with Tonezones.

If you wanted covered PAF pros you are probably out of luck unless you can get someone to custom make you some covers.

Gibson has got 3 different sizes. 53, 50 and 42,9 mm. Wich of these are f-spaced?

Talking from experience, be 100% you want to modify your 301 before you do it.

I love the pickup covers you are referring too, but I'll get them on 401 :)

Be aware that some folks can hear the difference between covered pickups and uncovered pickups. I know I do.

Larry Dimarzio explains the difference in this video

Took me bloody ages to find that, went through every one of Larry's vids with Paul and found it on the last one!

If you are trying to put them on PAF pros I probably wouldn't even try Gibson covers. Gibson covers just like the dimarzio covers are designed to be put on guitars with traditional pole pieces, not the allen head poles in the PAF pro.

I'm not sure what size would fit. As far as I know dimarzio uses the same bobbins for all pickups, the only difference between standard and f-spaced is the spacing of the pole pieces.

Try asking a guitar tech at your local shop maybe they have put covers on dimarzios before, or know what size you would need. I've never done it before so I don't have the exact answer. If its for a dimarzio model with normal poles I would suggest ordering the dimarzio covers to make sure it fits right.

You know you can get chrome/nickel covers that are solid (no holes for pole pieces). To me, that's the only thing that would look right on PAF Pros. Look on eBay and you'll find them.

The only thing I think is cool about metal pup covers is making the strings hit them to get cool glissando type effects.

Bah, you can put plastic covers (black, white or painted any color you want) on any pickup now. EMG does not have the plastic covered pickup market to themselves anymore.
