I'm just hoping the Fireman is no more than £1500

I'm guessing that anniversary PGM will be the same price as the 401, if not more.

My local guitar shop have told me they will be able to get the fireman in so it's just a case of waiting for the price.

hehe.

1500 pounds sterling would be cheap for a production guitar. A limited edition, custom designed, we-all-know-whos-that-is?! NO WAY man.

There are companies that will build you a replica for less. But you will not be able to get the Ibanez logo on the headstock or any bragging rights.

Have a good look at Jaden's PGM... awesome super-custom finish, great playability, blessed by Paul, and to the PGM spec, but no logo and he can't sell it as a PGM, just a really freakin' nice replica.

Well said and written, I've got my tissues at the ready when the list price is announced

Any idea when it's going to be?

Someone once posted that NAMM stood for "Not available, maybe May".

I saw and played the 20th yesterday and the fireman. The 20th is the same as the original but with the 5 piece neck and lighter pink f-holes. The Fireman has a very thick neck compared to other Paul Gilbert models. The neck on the 401 felt a bit thicker than the original wizard (more like a wizard 2 but I could be wrong).

Still trying to get tickets to the Saturday show.

To me, that is good news because the 301 dimensions are pretty much perfect.

How about the truss rod breaking in one of your favorite necks? :(

I wouldn't mind the 5 piece if they would just scale it down to the original specks. The RG550RE wasn't too bad. It was a better profile than the prestige necks. At least it felt like it

I'm actually playing my 550re right now. and have a original beside me (al be it in pieces ) and both necks feel identical, in fact I'd say the five peice feels better.

I have a 92 RG550DX and I think the neck is thinner. The newer one feels thicker. I didn't measure it so maybe its me....

what color RE did you get? I got the RFR

The 2006 or 2007 PGM301 which ever it was that I had had a different sized neck than the one on the new RG550RE. I don't think it was as wide.
Someone here probably knows for sure though
