Namm is Jan 15-18. Thats a little over 2 weeks away. :D

I would guess that the price is going to be on he high side. The Yen is pretty strong right now so that will drive up the prices in other currencies.

Since they will be unveiling it at NAMM I would suspect it will be a worldwide release, and not a japan exclusive model. That would be cruel to unveil it at NAMM and say it will only be sold in Japan.

We still don't know how many they will be making so there may only be a couple making it to certain areas of the world like the previous anniversary models. That could also drive up the price.

I would guess list will be around $3000.

Considering the Jem's list is 3000, and thats just an RG. I'd say we're looking at more than that.

this guitar is totally different than what ibanez produces, thus making it more costly to manufacture.

in any case, we're screwed. unless of course, Ibanez pulls a rabbit out of they're hat and doesn't listen to their wallets.

If only Ibanez produced left handed Icemans. They'd be done already!

They would be almost done. The Fireman has a small cutaway on the low side of the neck for better upper fret access that the iceman does not have. More work for them = higher cost to us.

Hopefully they have respirators too. The dust from sanding Korina can be quite harmful.

a respirator is like a gas mask and filters harmful stuff out of your breathing air
Korina is a poisonous wood.

Hi Anthony,
I am glad to hear that you like DiMarzio pickups. I called Ibanez today and the guitar prices have not been finalized yet, however they are thinking between $2,000 and $3,000 (list) ....... depending on the model. Hope that helps and we are releasing another Paul guitar video on the Jan. 10th.
All the best,
Larry DiMarzio

Please don't hurt me dino :( I can't help but spread the gossip

They are ridiculous prices when you think about it really - wood and strings!!! and what else you could buy for that amount of money!

I would have guessed higher but based on the info from Larry Dimarzio I kept my guess low.

Even so I wouldn't have guessed 10K list. I would have thought maybe $4-5K list.

LOL exactly... I was WAY off. My top guess was $3500.
I didn't know Ibanez sold anything more expensive then those JEM's.

It's awesome that it got released at any price point. That was such a cool rumor to come true.
