I think that sunburst PGM is quite horrible, the orange one is way cooler

anyway, even if the fireman would be a limited edition, I'm sure that I'll get my hands on one of them, harharhar!

This is what should be offered before the burst PGM.

I doubt we will see Ibanez make either of them. Paul hasn't been playing the Orange PGM that much lately. He was playing it alot when GOOMY was released.

If you want one of those I'd consider ordering one from Christopher Woods. Board Member CWR did a ton of research and put a lot of time and effort into making an accurate replica.

Personally when I think of a sunburst PGM I think of the 12 string PGM Paul has. I would rather see that made then a different color variation of the 301.

Chatting to one of Paul's road crew last night after his show in Bristol, I picked up a bit of info...

There's a new PGM coming out next year, the one Paul had last night was a natural wood finish very similar to the old Superheroes-era one, but I'm pretty sure it only had 22 frets... That's the one that'll be released.
The sunburst finish one on the previous page is only a prototype at the moment and Paul's roadie "wasn't sure" if it'd be coming out soon. I touched it merely half an hour after Paul played it! *dead on the floor*

If that's the one with the writing stamped on it, he's had it for a while. It's made from plywood with a sustainer isn't it?? That's the same info the roadie told me right enough but surely it's too similar to the 800??

I'm not to sure that a roadie would have that much of an inside scoop.

I'll go as far as to say I really doubt he's correct.

Yep - I reckon the sunburst one and he's trying to put us off. He did say it was only 5 weeks old and it looked it but that could be a production model as opposed to a prototype used on the SBADR DVD

Ibanez would not release a plywood signature model. They'd be laughed at.

I think the sunburst is going to be the second model.

I also think it`s a pretty guitar, but still, the orange is way prettier.

It really doesn`t matter to me, since i have no money

The orange pgm and the fireman would destroy me mentally. No one person should have to decide between those two.

As the orange one is kinda bleh they'll have to release that alongside the fireman just so people don't destroy themselves emotionally trying to decide.

Well you know it will not, so why even ask? If anything, it may be thicker to reflect Paul's current taste.

I wish we could vote on the next PGM. I think we would have very different ideas that Ibanez corporate.

Thicker isn't bad. My Les Paul is thick. It's the width that I don't like.
Obviously Ibanez doesn't care what I'd like....hehehehe

That is how I got the wife.... har har...

Anyway, perhaps someone can gets Paul's input on this.

Perhaps suggest some models and vote on what we would actually like to see.

I will put my money where my mouth is, if Ibanez offers it.

The orange PGM is obviously my favorite, but any new RG based PGM will get my money. The 301 is way past it's sell by date, so please give us something other than white.

I reserve my Fireman decision until I actually see what version gets offered. I can't say I am big fan of the the single coil model. However, I would be all over a HxH Korina Fireman.

I'm an old neck profile guy, so there's no point even worring about any RG based PGM they come out with. It will have the new neck profile, there's no reason to think otherwise. I'm fine with that. I'd rather have another 800 anyway. :P

As far as the Fireman is concerned; meh. It's just not something I'd be interested in. --Jason

The dark burst is just too depressing. It doesn't have any flair to it.

I'm with Jason. I'd just assume buy another older model.

I'd like a black PGM, because black is metal, black/white pickups with gold/black poles and gold hardware. Going with the gold/black theme would be gold f-holes, but not the cheesy shiny kind, if it looks bad, white f-holes would be kinda cool. Don't know if it'd work with gold hardware though.

Basically it'd be the antithesis to Steve Vai's Jem (white/gold), but still completely PG.

OR, since Paul seems to like his hollow body a lot, maybe Ibanez can make a PGM hollow body variant with REAL f-holes.
