Hi guys,

Can someone verify this is a PGM30 instead of a 300. This guy even explicitly tells this is not a pgm30? I'm puzzled as I never saw the 30 and 300 in real life. He also says it's build in 03?

Thanks all,

Albert

No, it's definitely a 2003 PGM30. It has s rosewood fretboard, ring mounted pickups, and edge pro tremolo. The only year they got the edge pro. PGM300s have maple fretboards, direct mount pickups, and Lo Pro Edge (or edge pro) tremolos.

Thanks, the guy also replied. He didn't know and says he's going to change it. Pretty stupid though, and he asked 950 euro!!

Ishibashi is bad about changing links, but I think this is the fastest that one has ever been changed! --Jason

No kidding! That's the cleanest 500 I've seen for sale in a LONG time. Plus, it's one of the oddballs with the scarf joint instead of the one piece necks with the volute. --Jason

Hi Jason,

What do you mean with that? Don't know this difference, thanks,

Albert

The 500 is susposed to come with a one piece neck, non tilted headstock with a volute. Every once and a while a 500 pops up with neck that has the scarf joint and tilt back headstock. I'm going try and get some pics to add to the PGM Models thread. --Jason

Really a non-Tilt headstock? I had the tilt on mine and i've never seen the non-tilt style ( ala Fender Stratocastor)

I thought all Ibanez (for the most part) were all tilt. I had non-tilt.
But you are much more in the know than I am.

There is a tilt on the one piece necks, but it is a very small tilt.

I posted pics of a 1 piece neck in jasonK's thread found here http://racerxband.com/board/viewtopic.php?t=16573

All the 2 piece 500's I have seen were built in 1995 the last year they were produced. All the earlier models I have seen including the one I own have the one piece neck.

PGM90ham in the Netherlands. I know this guy and in NL and Europe this is a fair price. This pgm is a little lighter colored than mine. Very nice condition.
