I once had the change to buy this guitar from someone. But it is in bad shape, unfortunate, the photo's don't show that very good. He wanted 800 euro. He actually traded it for a guitar much more worth with this guy who sells it. He made a mistake according my opinion. I tried to trade it before and I offered him 600 euro for that. Now a while later I acted like I didn't know him before and offered him 1500 if he is in perfect condition. Can you believe he only said "he's got a few chips". Man, that guitar is full of deep chips. He's never going to sell it for what he traded it for. He just won't believe my opions about this. He does not know that there are a few die hard collectors in the world who knows what the guitar 'does' on the selling market globally. He even wanted it to trade it for my 90ham   So now that I offered him 1500 euro in perfect condition he putted it on again to see if he could get more than that. If he's smart he let it refinish again so that it looks like new. Unfortunatly I know the story of the guitar. Too bad, I like to get the 800 with the rest. There are only a couple left in Holland. For the 90ham I had to drive to lowest part in Belgium, almost France..

Yup, same guitar. Seller's description is bullshit given the pics and description on IbanezRules. And the price seems to be going up.

What's the story here? Is there a problem with the guitar (I didn't buy it)...it just looks really good.

A stock 800 doesn't have pickup rings. The seller probably knows that and should have stated that in the listing. I doubt he would have gotten so much for it if he did.

I forget what it was listed for on ibanezrules, it probably was less than 1150.

The rings wouldn't be a total deal breaker for me if the price was right. I got a 300 for cheap because someone put a pickup ring around the bridge pickup.

If I remember right, that guitar sold for something like $1400 off IR. The holes left by the screws for the pickup rings are VERY unsightly on that guitar. (Probably why the rings were put back on it.) The 800 being natural leave you basicly no way to hide them via fill and refinish. --Jason

I think it sold for $1250 on IbanezRules. But Rich's description and pics included a number of dings and chips along the edges and some worming on the back. Those have mysteriously vanished in the seller's description on eBay.

Ah. I hadn't noticed them. He should have DEFINITELY pointed that out in the description.

I would think the buyer would have right to back out, if they knew.
