I haven't heard the album, but I've always said he was a killer guitarist. You could tell that even when he was Manson, despite the lack of solos. Hell, Mr. Les Paul suggested he go solo! I did hear him in a recent issue of Total Guitar and he was on fire. Album should be good.

Good :D
The current one hasn't been very well made, if I'm honest...
It looks ok... But I know 11 year old's (No joke... Smart kids!) who know that absolute layers don't work with relative backgrounds

Don't get me wrong, man... It looks really good. He's far better than I with dreamweaver :) I'm only any good with the tech side of things.

It was just this that got me :(

Heh, that's bad, Big Tom.

I dont know enough about websites and creating websites yet, but I've had similar problems where I'd design a website with one certain browser in mind, and then when I view it with another browser it looks like SHIT... and I'm like "WHERE'D I GO WRONG!" So I try and make my websites compatible with all browsers.

I've had this CD for a few weeks, and I;m not really sure what to make of it. I think alot of people who only know him as MM's guitarist will be amazed that someone from that band can actually play. I also thought he came across as a pretty genuine guy in his GP cover story, so he gets points for that. I think the country stuff wouldve been neat for 1 tune, but not for almost 1/2 the CD. Someone like Johnny Hiland is far better at combining the rock and country stuff.

However, I'll bet Mike Varney is thrilled right now. I don't remember any Shrapnel artist ever being on the COVER of Guitar Player. I'll bet this becomes Shrapnel's best selling CD, between all the normal Shrapnel CD buyers, and the curious MM fans. Varney will make a pretty penny off it I'm sure.

Think I'll go pop in that Hiland CD again.

Impressive playing, I guess, but where's the melody? Not my kinda thing at all.

You just descibed 98% of the shred records in existence.

That's probably why I own far less than 2% of the shred CDs out there.

As for John 5, or rather that one song, I find it listenable after giving it a chance, but I have a lot of criticisms. Maybe I'll check out his next CD and see where he goes with that.

I dig it but I would've preferred less "country-shit-chicken-picken" and MORE ROCK!!!
