I still don't think they've ever topped "Images and Words" But that's just my opinion.

Really, they're all good, but my favorite by far is "Awake".

As with most statements involving dream Theater...I can't help but agree with Xela...however SFAM has slid into my #2 spot ever since the release of TRAIN OF THOUGHT. It puts the METAL in Progressive Metal!

P.s....LOOK AT THE AVATAR

Is that ordered greatest (top) to least favorite (bottom)?

Or is it greatest (bottom) to least favorite (top)?

Images and Words

Awake :D

Both great CD's! Their first one When Dream And Day Unite is really good too but the singer doesn't fit the music. Great songs though.

Hi,

No-one has mentioned 'A Change Of Seasons'?

Its my favourite DT album by far, I just dont like the production or guitar sound of TOT or 6DOIT. I think ive over-heard Awake and Images..

ACOS is a perfectly rounded album, an imense title track with some covers showing how versatile the guys are. Incredible.

My personal opinion:

1) Images & words
2) Awake
3) A change of seasons
4) Train of thought
5) Six degrees of inner turbulence
6) When dreams and days unite
7) Metropolis Pt 2
8) Falling into infinity

...there's no real bad album...that's just the way I would personally rank them...I ranked 'When dreams and days unite' quite low, because of the poor sound - the songs are strong, but I don't like the sound at all.

Well... :? ...Its not an album per se...its an EP...Its not really the title track as much as it is the only track with a bunch of bonus live covers.
