Hey Lav good to see you again.

Lately, I've just been playing with my band. I just got out of recording a few weeks ago, and I've got to go back one more time before the CD is mixed and mastered!

I love playing bass along with Rush songs, though. Geddy's lines are fun to play. :)

Yup......We start practicing in a week or so. It gives them time to learn my songs. Btw, the best thing about putting out your own cd, is that I don't have to sit down and learn note for note, and I don't have to buy the tab book!!!

Some Tony MacAlpine stuff when he's with Planet X, although I don't yet own a 7 string. Got one of those Slow Gold programs for my 'puter, & love the thing! Helped me to transcribe the arpeggiated lead on Snakebyte, wierd string skipping thing on Alligator farm, etc. For the stuff that's too bizarre & fast to figure out on the surface, that thing is a Godsend!
Some of Uli Jon Roth's stuff is fun, too.
I used to LOVE playing all the stuff from VH's Fair Warning, but it's been a while since I've practiced with that.

Stevie Ray Vaughan: The Guitar Style of Stevie Ray Vaughan instructional book and CD.

Some Muddy Waters: Deep Blues instructional book

I'm totally in the blues mode right now.

Mostly Van Halen I and II.

I tried to transcribe the trumpet solo from Herbie Hancock's Cantaloupe Island, got about half a bar in and gave up because it was almost impossible, and i'm pretty good at transcribing!

I been trying to work out the theme from M.A.S.H. I also wanna learn the theme to Ren & Stimpy.

Workin on my slide guitar, with actual broken beer bottle neck. The only things I can play, (besides improv solo-ing) are bits of Led Zep's In My Time Of Dying, from the DVD, and The Doors' Build Me A Woman.

Hmmm... My usual mix of EVH licks and improvising stuff, for the most part.

I just sit and play what ever comes to mind recently... It's getting to be a mixture of the easier Vai, Van Halen and Racer X stuff :P

As of now I am working on both guitar parts for Racer X's - "Scarified". It is very challenging. After that, I plan on learning Racer X's - "Heart Of A Lion".

Sean, is Mike C going to be playing with you? Either way, definitely post when/where. I'll be there.

I'm not sure yet, Bob. He may come up and play on his song, though.
