Post Something cool for Van Halen fans
Original purchase order from when Wayne Charvel was working for Frank Green's Music in Cali.

Jan Van Halen brought Eddie and Alex in to buy 'em a drum set and a Les Paul. You can see here that he traded in a horn and a guitar, and financed the rest. Check out the Gibson Les Paul for $400!!!!

Thanks to Wayne Charvel for sending this over for us to see!

30 payments of $22.07 with APR of 18% back in '69.

That's wild!

So, that is the order of the two very first instruments of the Van Halen boys?

What a piece of history!

I think that my next purchase is going to be a Wayne Guitar! I have heard that they are some of the best guitars made. Of course, Splawn Guitars make a guitar that is nearly the same for around $1400! I like the idea of a Mahogony body with a maple neck. It just balances things out better!

LOL...funny you mention that. Michael Charvel and I end up talking guitars for an hour each time we connect on the phone, and he just got a new Splawn amp, and he says nothing is better.

Michael and Wayne are making some amazing shit right now. I just put together a couple graphics (I'm working on the whole line) for the Rock Legend and the Lap Steel. Michael just sent me the lap steel and it freakin' RULES!

Dude, Mike is sending you guitars? BASTARD! LOL 8)

I like the ads. Your designs have really progressed over the last several years!

Anyway, I think that the Splawn mod sounds really cool. You know what really suck? Every amp that I have tried out or heard in the past several months, I have liked. :? My Peacemaker, Suhr Marshall, and 5150 II will have to do for now. Gotta get a kick ass Wayne guitar first!

ISN'T GEAR AWESOME! 8)

I think Eddie would really apreciate something like that. cause that kicked ass. Maybe Eddie can do some cool stuff on the cello, he's been working on that for a while now.
