Post 2 new tunes and CD coming soon of my solo stuff
Electric this time!

This is a tune I'm doing for my CD. I redid it all last night to facilitate the Variax.

The intro guitar is a '60 Telecaster with the bridge pickup. The rhythm guitars under the solo parts is a '56 Gretsch Silver Jet fingerpicked, and the solo parts are the '60 Telecaster again. On the verses you can hear the Gibson Banjo model the Variax does panned 25% to the left, and a Martin '59 D-28 panned 25% to the right.

All guitars are recorded with the Line 6 POD XT. The intro guitar is a Matchless Chieftan with a bit of reverb added to the track via Protools. The Rhythm guitars under the solos are a Budda Twinmaster with some MXR Compression, and the solo guitars are a Vox AC-30 with my Ibanez Tube Screamer in front of it, and compression on the back end. The banjo and the Martin acoustic are recorded through a patch that I made that facilitates a tube preamp with a tiny bit of echo.

Hope ya dig! I'll do a harder track to show what the Variax can do in a rock setting on the weekend.

This next tune is a song I did on my strat, tele, and Les Paul with the POD.

Thanks!

The first tune reminded me Steve Morse....very funny. And the part when the acoustic guitar came in reminded me some Satch tunes on the "Joe Satriani" album.

The second tune has a cool bluesy vibe...kinda cowboy theme....

Keep rockin!
