Post KISS Tribute CD
I'm sure...you've been waiting patiently....

A Kiss tribute album featuring members of Twisted Sister, Styx, Whitesnake, and other bands will be released April 27. It's called Spin The Bottle - A Tribute To Kiss, and it covers well-known songs including "Detroit Rock City," "Love Gun," "Shout It Out Loud," and "Strutter," with vocals from Twisted Sister's Dee Snider, Tommy Shaw of Styx, Lemmy Kilmeister from Motorhead, and Helmet's Page Hamilton, among others. Musicians on Spin The Bottle include Kiss alumni Bruce Kulick, Whitesnake's Doug Aldrich and Marco Mendoza, Toto's Steve Lukather and Mike Porcaro, Heart's Mike Inez, and Poison's C.C. DeVille.

The first pressing of the CD will have a bonus DVD with a 40-minute "making of" documentary that has performances, session footage, and interviews.

The tracklisting for Spin The Bottle - A Tribute To Kiss includes: "Detroit Rock City" (featuring Dee Snider of Twisted Sister), "Love Gun" (featuring Tommy Shaw of Styx), "Cold Gin" (featuring Mark Slaughter of Slaughter), "King Of The Night Time World" (featuring WWE wrestler Chris Jericho), "I Want You" (featuring Kip Winger of Winger), "God Of Thunder" (Featuring Buzz Osborne of the Melvins), "Calling Doctor Love" (featuring Page Hamilton of Helmet), "Shout It Out Loud" (featuring Lemmy Kilmeister of Motorhead), "Parasite" (featuring Doug Pinnick of King's X), "Strutter" (featuring Phil Lewis of L.A. Guns), and "I Stole Your Love" (featuring Robin McAuley of the McAuley-Schenker Group).

ZZZZZZZZZ .... Yawn.

What a lame line up. What I've been waiting for is the release of the Kiss cover that Megadeth did that was left off of the "Kiss My Ass" CD ... that would be cool to hear.

Sad....the only 2 that interest is the worst voice in the lot...Lemmy....and the one who I've never heard...Chris Jerrico.

I second that yawn.

Chris Jericho is a good singer - I heard him cover Ozzy's "Over the Mountain" and I heard his original "Dont You Wish You Were Me."

He isnt the best singer in the world, but he's got a good voice for rock.

I'd like to hear his version of King of the Night Time World.

Hi,

Im surprised Kiss aren't on this themselves-why not, they have become their own tribute band anyway

No one will play Detroit Rock City like RX. What a cover 8)

Speaking of covers, some good ones are Motley Crue- Anarchy in the UK and Skid Row- Crazy Train. The guitar playing is dodgy but Bach has got a great voice.

Can anyone suggest any more for me to listen to?

Mark

Anthrax did a cover of She and Parasite.

I liked Megadeth's version of Anarchy in the UK, too.

I just picked this up today ... holy shit! Great CD (I'm listening to it as I type this).

Paul fucking smokes ... unbelievable solo on "I Want You." I agree with Bruce - best Paul solo in years ... blows away everything on Getting Heavier.
