I'm gonna listen to the song without viewing the video... since some of you said it was shitty.

1:10 I already hate that song.

Well, congrats for getting a gig in a supergroup, but I can't listen to 5 more seconds of this, sorry.

I'm afraid apart from being able to play with Mr Macalpine, there isn't much to say here - the song was terrible...... even the guitar solo wasn't good in my opinion..... bugger

Thanks for all the comments and opinions of course! A year ago, on a trip to LA, I gave Tony a cd of my playing. Some months later he invited me to join his new band. When I got his email with the "proposal" I was out of the city, at my aunt's...I remember the shock!!

The album is coming out in August and I have to say it's pretty versatile and there are some really cool songs in it, I have my own feavourite ones. Also we're touring Europe in September.

Thanks again guys

ps: the songs "Liar" and "The Wall" are available to listen to as well

myspace.com/seventhehardwaymusic (find "Liar" here)

seventhehardway.net (and "The Wall" here)

"Shock" indeed!
That must've been a great e-mail to get.

Congratulations!

Yeah, although I really didn't like the music, it's still pretty cool that you got the gig.

"Editing" (ie deleting the previous post after copy pasting it in a new reply window) has become more painful on the new board version in my humble opinion.

I'd like to have editing back. I believe Dino has been writing better posts lately, straight to the point. I really hope she will refrain from editing too much.

Back on topic: the other songs are not as disastrous as the first one. Some of you might even like them, I know they really are not my style though.
It's the first time I hear Mark Boals since Yngwie Malmsteen... I believe he is on Trilogy? Or was it Attack!! ... I gotta check, anyway, I think I'm surprised with the new kind of music he is making.

Holy crap, that song is declared "guilty" for not appealing to my senses.

I did not found the video to be so bad, but the song is terrible...maybe it will seduce some "newcomers" to this kind of music; Boals´s look is hilarious, since I haven´t seen him in years (last time was in Ring Of Fire´s DVD -filmed 2002 I think-).

The song "Liar" is a better approach IMHO, but way to modern sounding for my cup...

Anyway, hope this new band does great, specially with Tef on it!

how come they don't mention your name on the myspace?

"Seven The Hard Way - new project consisting of: Tony MacAlpine, Virgil Donati and Mark Boals."

same thing with the animated banner at the top of the page.

Because in the grand scheme of things she is not as bug a name as the other 3. I'm sure it's not a slight to her, just marketing.

The Label made that myspace a long time ago, Doug and I weren't even there yet. However, the project was started by them (Tony, Virg and Mark). We came afterwards. Anyway...the myspace is going to be re-designed soon. I guess it will have pictures of all of us and it will look better as well.

actually, the band itself doesnt handle those things (youtube, myspace, etc)

on the other hand, what's so awkward?

I see now why someone said this forum isn't what it used to be :D

god bless you

They're just jealous. Congratulations again on your break. I'm curious if you have a hand in writing the songs?

first of all well done for getting to play with some amazing musicians, i think tony is a melodic genius!

i wasn't a fan of the song guilty, but i checked out the other 2 songs and i like them, i probably like "the wall" the best out of all of them.

i'm sure you'll have a blast when you go on tour!

Hey man, MissMistreater only counts as one human being.
I didn't see anyone else imply TEFI's success isn't deserved, even when they didn't like the music.
