Rather promising! Decent guitar work!
I hope he doesn't let us down.

Not bad

its a bit modern i think....Id have liked Gus to take it in a new direction

I mean, if you were played this 5 years ago id could imagine it passing for Zakk

It's ok, i guess. The lyrics are a bit painful to hear, though, and that's coming from someone who usually never notices them.

Keeps the modern "over-produced" sound of Black Rain.

Good guitar licks.

Hope the album is as good (or better) than this track!

I guess Zakk is doing BLS full time now.

How come some of you guys don't like it?

It's ok that you do, I'm just curious as to what elements of the song you don't like.

No one here has really been specific yet.

Makes me think I'm missing something.

Well... I'll make a comparison with the band Extreme.
Exteme is what happens when you combine shred and Michael Jackson, I loved it.

This song... is what happens when you combine stuff like Britney Spears' song called "Circus" and heavy metal.
Very binary, unrefined drumming. The "1-2" structure of this drum rythmn never stops anywhere in the song.
Lots of those shitty modern voice effets to make the singer sound like he is talking through a telephone or talky-walky. (Hopefully someday this shit will stop)
The guitar riffing is as poor and unimaginative as the drumming.
The first verse sounds very much like something Britney Spears would do: Some sort of whiny, totally not rock and roll melody.
Bad chorus, repeated too often.
Don't like the tones of the instruments... guitars or drums, loudness wars has successfully slaughtered all the punch in the drums of every record... same thing with guitar tones, I think the era of crunchy, rich guitar tones is over.

That's just the way I see hear it anyway :?

Also, there's nothing particularly imaginative in the song, nothing that i would've said "well, this sounds great!", it's just something you've heard done over and over again without some sort of a new element thrown in. The production doesn't help either, it's got this modern-ish and over-polished sound that i don't really like very much.

Not really my taste. The song feels really "pop" in my opinion, what with all these new bands coming out nowadays with songs about "getting crazy!" and "going wild!".

I thought Black Rain was pretty decent, but nothing to be excited about. After hearing that Ozzy hired Gus G. I was kind of excited (although I love Zakk Wylde) because I thought that Gus might bring something new to the table. But after hearing this song I'm sort of losing hope that this album will be a step up from Black Rain.

Only part of the song I like is the solo. Gus G. is one hell of a player.

Wonder what El Cirujano's diagnosis is though.

Hey Captain Lightbulbs! Like what you hear on that song? :P

I don't know. It's just such a departure from early Zakk Wylde stuff...No More Tears? Classic. Miracle man? Classic. Sure Zakk and Ozzy had some crappy material as well, but the early to mid 90's stuff is awesome.

The song sounds too "party". The guitar solo is fucking awesome but I don't even remember what it sounded like. Vocals are sub par. Ozzy's getting old.

Still love Ozzy. But it's safe to say he isn't getting any better.

One thing I noticed is that Gus has more of a '3 note per string' pattern, as opposed to Zakk's usual '2 notes per string' style. I thought it was kind of a cool song by itself, but in all honesty, it really makes me appreciate the metal architectural songwriting of Randy Rhoads!
