My favourite SONGS are almost all in Into the Black... but every album has awesome stuff...

As for guitar playing, Im more of a fan of Get Up, Wave of Emotion and Go Faster

I'm a big fan of the "Something To Say" record, I may be partial to it since it was the first of his that I bought but I think it's kind of overlooked. It has the kind of feel I think is most commonly associated with Richie's solo stuff.

I totally dig Kotzen, he's awesome. Saw him Camden Underworld last year and it was one of the best rock shows I've ever seen, his vocals were killer, his songs were awesome and his playing was flat-out ridiculous. Played a custom shop tele through his Cornford and it was one of the best tones I've heard in my life!

GUITAR GURU & SINGER/SONGWRITER RICHIE KOTZEN ON WORLD TOUR:
Richie Kotzen will hit the road on his world tour starting in South America April 22 in Goiania, Brazil, but is working his way back to his long-awaited return to the USA. This will be his first string of tour dates in the USA in over a decade and a concert not to miss. He will be performing from his 17 plus solo albums with various charting hits he wrote or performed with Poison and Mr. Big.
Kotzen's latest critically acclaimed release Peace Sign on Headroom Inc is sweeping the Nation. Kotzen has an amazing ability to create projects that awe critics and inspire aspiring musicians having done it again with his new release. “I'm really excited about this new CD,” explains Kotzen. “I'm not sure how I did it, but somehow I think it has a really live sound, even though I'm playing all the instruments on all but four songs. I think it is because of the music I grew up on. Bands like Cream, The Stones, and of course Hendrix all had that 'live -- create it on the spot' sound so I suppose that is the way I hear music."
Kotzen has been touted as “one of the best guitar players in the world” with a voice on par with some of the greatest rock/soul singers. He has also enjoyed a truly incredible journey in the world of music. Among numerous accomplishments, in 2006 as a solo artist, Kotzen was the opening act for the legendary Rolling Stones' A Bigger Bang Tour in Japan. And in addition to writing and being featured on #1 charting albums and tracks, Kotzen has amassed an impressive 25 plus album discography.
Come see the hot ticket of the year and one of the greatest guitar players to hit the pages of Guitar Player Magazine, Guitar World and more! USA tour dates below~

The London gig has been cancelled :( I was really looking forward to it cause it was the day after my last exam and had been excited for months.

I hope everything is ok with him. The only reason I was given was "unforseen circumstances". :?

When I saw him in May he said he'd been pushing his voice too hard and that it was kind of wrecked, and apologized for "playing guitar too much to compensate" or something. Heh. Nobody minded, and his voice sounded fine, maybe not as powerful or loud as usual. But maybe that's part of it.

I got sent an email from Ticketweb:

"The tickets you purchased for Richie Kotzen - Peace Sign World Tour at
O2 Academy Islington on Thursday, June 17 will be automatically
refunded since the event has been cancelled.

The cancelled event was:

Richie Kotzen - Peace Sign World Tour
Ben Poole

Please note that due to unforeseen circumstances this event has been cancelled"

:(

Hello Friends and Fans,

I am confused, shocked, and embarrassed to have learned less than 24 hours ago via e mail that the UK agency known as Fablusis Promotions (http://www.fablusis.co.uk/) has cancelled my 3 UK shows roughly one week prior to my departure for the United Kingdom. I had absolutely no say in this decision whatsoever and am equally as shocked as all of you.

I learned about this late last night while making a connection in Houston. The e mail came through on my iphone as I was boarding a flight to Los Angeles. Based on the jovial relationship my band and the partners had on the last tour I was convinced their e mail was a joke and responded accordingly. Clearly now today I learned it is no joke.

At this point my manager and I are collecting as much info as possible in an effort to comprehend why the partners at Fablusis came to this careless decision without first discussing it with us. My number one concern is that all purchasers are refunded one hundred percent.

The notion of canceling a show has never crossed my mind as I am packed and ready to go perform. I have been playing live in front of paid audiences since 1985 (Jesus I’m old!) and actually remember doing a gig in 87 where I was throwing up in a bucket at the side of the stage (living up to my German last name). I would need to be in a hospital bed or god forbid a loved one in one for me to consider a cancellation.

Again, I am deeply sorry for any inconvenience this has caused. I can only assure you that this was completely out of my control and that we are already trying to figure out a way to make this up to you all.

Please stay tuned…

Sincerely,

Richie Kotzen
