I like some of his music.

I can't think of him without thinking of Labyrinth and his role as Jareth the Goblin King.

I used to get in trouble for blasting Ziggy Stardust!

I am an old-school Bowie fan... I adore his older material.

Mick Ronson's tone SLAYS.

I can't think of one song of David Bowie's that isn't good.

Two of my favorite songs I've heard him play are Time and My Death(which is a cover of a Jacques Briel song).

I LOOOOOOOVE Maese David Bowie!

His early records (The Ziggy Stardust, Hunky Dory era) are the most incredible to me. Space Oddity is one of the best songs ever written....I used to listen to him a lot with lights off... and he'd transport me dont know where! come to think of it, I should keep doing that.... you don't need drugs to get high when you have David Bowie's music. Amen

Several years ago, I'd listen to the album Ziggy Stardust And The Spiders From Mars at least once a day, every day.

I've heard that Mick Ronson later played in Mott The Hoople for a little while, but I don't know much about this. I do know that Ian Hunter and Mick Ronson played together AFTER Mott The Hoople, and I have a copy of YUI Orta around somewhere. I'll have to go look for it...

Damn I kept reading this thread and thinking I responded, but I'm really happily surprised to see all the Bowie fans on the board. Bowie is truly a genius, I've been listening to him more and more lately and I just love everything about his music. Not only is the music itself so extraordinary but the way he presents it is just incredible.

From what I've read, Mick Ronson was actually in quite a few bands before he played for David Bowie.

Anyone hear heard The Insects?
