What are your opinions on the group?

I'm a little torn. I like all the people and there respective bands, which gets me really excited. When you consider how super groups don't always deliver the goods and this group has a lot of potential for great music, I can't help but feel as though I'm going to be let down.

The 14 second clip of a song you can find on youtube does sound pretty good though.

Supergroups with musicians always get me excited at first but in the end they don't always deliver so i'll be a bit more cautious this time and wait for more songs or excerpts of songs.

But thanks for the info nonetheless.

According to NME.com, Paul McCartney wanted a place in Dave Grohl's supergroup THEM CROOKED VULTURES, but was turned down in favor of LED ZEPPELIN legend John Paul Jones.

THE BEATLES star said he was first told about THEM CROOKED VULTURES by Grohl when the two went out to dinner together after playing together at last February's Grammys ceremony.

"We went out for a bite to eat afterwards and Dave told me he was starting this band with Josh [Homme]," he told the Daily Mail. "I asked him who was playing bass and he rather sheepishly told me he'd approached John. So you read it here first; Paul McCartney was nearly the bass player in THEM CROOKED VULTURES."

I found the whole album a little lacklustre. A lot of it just sounded to me like some of the more recent Queens of the Stone Age material, and some of it was a little psychedelic.

There are a few pretty cool tracks on there though. Just not nearly as good as I may have hoped. That's pretty normal for "super-groups" though.

I think this album was really really disappointing. There were no killer hooks anywhere, it all sounds so B-rate. A missed opportunity IMO.
