Post Some videos of my band's first gig
Well these are from like... a month ago... don't know why I didn't post them before.

Anyways, this is my new band. We started rehearsing like 6 months ago so we wanted to play some gigs before starting writing our own material.

The Drummer sings in all the songs except Little Wing and the pre Chorus in Bark at the Moon.

We fired the bass player the other day... cuz he didn't get on too well... we started writing some stuff now.

What do you guys thinks? Any criticism will be more than helpful!

A special thanks to Tefi who filmed these videos :D

Heheh thanks for watching.

About the Zakk thingy... gotta work something out... I either wear the guitar like Petrucci or dunno... cuz playing it the "regular way" with the guitar hanging down makes my hand hurt a lot!

About the bass player... its kinda late for calling him back hehehe. We're thinking about getting a new singer actually... and I'm gonna start getting singing lessons as well :)

Thanks!

For myself, I'd rather wear the guitar lower and play easiest solos than wear it up too high or put it on my knees all the time I play a solo.

I'm sorry, I haven't seen the vids, my internet is shit at my hometown!

I found the singing quite good

I think the main things that needs to be improved right now is the overpowering drums during the verses, it could be played more dynamically, or it just could be a sound problem, I would lower the hi-hat, ride and cymbal levels.
Also, when playing drums and singing at the same time, a common problem is keeping the tempo straight.

Ok, I'll tell him that. But my guess it's that his drumming is affected by his singing... as he can't do both things at this 100%!

Thanks for the critics :)

I'm considering starting a band eventually.

There are some things I've often wondered:

Do musicians ever sneeze on stage, in the middle of a song?

Do musicians ever get the need to relieve themselves while performing a concert?

Well, there was one time I had to take a really bad crap in the middle of the show. It helped my guitar faces.

Gotta use those times to your advantage.

I once had a really bad sinus infection, and definitely would have tried to cancel a particular gig had it not been within gear-carrying distance from me house.

About halfway through a rockin' Billy Preston cover, the only one of the night, I sneezed so hard I got blood all over my purple strat, which really showed on the pickguard, and fell flat on my ass unconscious for a couple seconds.

Near total silence, stood up, ripped a couple diminished string skips so everyone knew I was alright, and kept a'chooglin'.

One of my proudest/bloodiest moments.
