Post Yet Another Jackson Thread....
Okay, there's a very good reason I've made this thread. I stumbled upon this...

Quote:
Fans have gathered outside Michael Jackson's Neverland ranch following reports that the late singer's body will go on public view there.

After all the torment he had in his life they want to do this now that he's dead?

How about stupid? I'm not disgusted by it but i think fans would like to remember him for what he did rather than for what he looked like.

Personally its not something I would want to see. Some people will go to great lengths to get close to a celebrity even after they are dead.

Why not?

Happened to the Queen Mother, and thousands went to see. Happened to Stalin, millions went to see.

People have open coffins at funerals all the time, is a way of paying their final respects to people. If you don't like the idea of viewing a dead body, don't go to see it, but there will be thousands of MJ fans wishing to pay their last respects.

It isn't that much of an unusual thing to happen, as aforementioned.

I went to a funeral last week that was open casket, and I'm going to another tomorrow that will be open casket. I don't think it's weird.

The fact that it's gonna be a big thing makes me go towards the No side.

I mean, I wouldn't want 10k people that I never saw before staring at my deceased self.
