Went & saw the show here in Denver with the board's own alumni, Sandman!

MAN!!! Every penny that Nuno has made from musical entertainment, he has EARNED!

That bitch got GAME! So does the rest of the crew. About 1/2 way through the show, Gary's voice seemed to be good & warmed up, & he was hitting all the notes without a hitch!

Nuno was using his signature amps which sounded real good, but sounded just like the tone he's always had, imo.

It was great watching them do the Michael Jackson tribute song at the end (Wanna be startin' somethin').

Ratt was good too, but man! The way they were mixed really hurt my ears compared to Extreme. Extreme was just as loud, but their mix was much more friendly to the ears.

Ratt=good
Extreme=better.

End transmission.

Fan-filmed video footage of reunited Massachusetts hard rockers EXTREME performing a cover of VAN HALEN's "Mean Street" on August 8, 2009 at the House of Blues in Boston can be viewed below. The entire concert was professionally filmed for a DVD which is tentatively due before the end of the year.

"Saudades de Rock", the new album from EXTREME, sold 6,500 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 78 on The Billboard 200 chart. The CD entered the U.K. chart at position No. 80.

The band's first studio album in thirteen years, "Saudades de Rock" (pronounced "sow-dodge") was released in the U.S. on August 12, 2008 on Open E Records and distributed by Fontana. The European version of the CD, which came out on August 1, includes a bonus track, the "Americocaine" demo from 1985, the very first studio recording of EXTREME.

The iconic rock foursome — vocalist Gary Cherone, guitarist Nuno Bettencourt, bassist Pat Badger and new drummer Kevin Figueiredo — recorded their fifth studio offering at NRG Studios in Los Angeles with Bettencourt at the helm as producer and mixer. "Saudades de Rock" boasts 13 tracks, including the infectious roar of "Star", the groove-laden, swagger of "King Of The Ladies", a raw funk rock anthem called "Learn To Love", and the expressive ballad "Ghost".

TOTALY !!! Just check out some of the footage on youtube from the VHlll Tour... Gary was the first to do any of the old Dave tunes and he kills on them... Sammy would only do Panama & Aint Talkin Bout Love... With Gary they went back to doing classics like "Im The One", "Somebody Get Me A Doctor", etc...

Reunited Massachusetts hard rockers EXTREME are scheduled to release a new DVD/CD entitled "Take Us Alive" in the spring via Victor Entertainment in Japan and Frontiers Records in Europe. The set is expected to include footage that was shot on August 8, 2009 at the House of Blues in Boston as well as "four bonus videos."

A trailer for the forthcoming DVD can be viewed below. Also available is fan-filmed video footage of EXTREME performing a cover of VAN HALEN's "Mean Street" at the above-mentioned concert.

EXTREME guitarist Nuno Bettencourt recently spent time on the road with the Grammy Award-winning R&B artist Rihanna.
